IMPACTING THE WORLD THROUGH CHRIST
COMPASSION · SERVICE · PERSEVERANCE
Our Intermediate Program focuses on the development of literacy and math skills. Our mathematics program builds on fluency of basic facts, skills and concepts with the development of higher level thinking. In our literacy block, students transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Comprehension strategy instruction assists students to become purposeful, active readers who strive to gain a deeper knowledge of content. Our writing program develops skills in the genres of narrative, persuasive and informative writing across all areas of the curriculum.
Family life begins to share the spotlight with school, activities and friends. Keeping up with this growth and finding a balance are a challenge shared by both parents and teachers. We help students to find that balance.
In preparation for Junior High, our Intermediate Grade students have the opportunity for departmentalized instruction in the core subjects of math, literacy, science and social studies.
Our Intermediate Grades help students develop in many areas: personality, character, faith, responsibility, conflict resolution and friendship.
A private school tour is your best way to see how your child would thrive at St. Hubert Catholic School.
Students in Intermediate Grades may participate in the band program. Training as an altar server begins in fifth grade. Participation on school sports teams begins in the fifth grade with instructional emphasis and progresses to inter-league competition. These are exciting years filled with many opportunities.
